CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS!!
for the 1815 King Store & the 1881 King Victorian Home
Ledgewood Historic Park, Roxbury Township, New Jersey

The Roxbury Historic Trust was commissioned by Township of Roxbury to serve as the curator of the 1815 King Store & the 1881 King Victorian Home. The King Store and King Homestead Museum are now open for short tours on the second Sunday of each month from 1-4 pm. Located on Main Street in the Ledgewood Historic Park, the structures are a very important part of the heritage of Roxbury Township. A newly restored Parlor and two Exhibition rooms are open to the public. The noble tradition of Community Service is alive and well at Roxbury's Ledgewood Historic Park!

Here are a few tasks that you, yes YOU, may be qualified to do:

Cataloging our collections and using the Museum computer program to document Roxbury's eventful past
Becoming a Docent and showing visitors around the buildings during our once a month open houses
Rehabilitation and maintenance of our 1815 Store and 1881 Victorian Homestead
Publicity, Community Relations, Grant Writing and Fund raising
  Maintaining artifacts and collections

So, whether you're able to write for a Newsletter, Design an Exhibit, scrape paint off a porch, or guide visitors around our history displays, you're invited to join our happy band of volunteers!  Volunteer time is very flexible and is always individually arranged around your schedule.
